It’s all in the name — this is the day we give thanks for all the things we appreciate.
That’s why we go around the table and tell what we are thankful for before filling ourselves full of turkey and the trimmings.
For those of us that call Christ the King (CtK) Church home, we have a lot to be thankful for. Those things were explained by church leaders at the annual State of the Church address last week.
If you attended, or watched online, you got to hear ministry leaders tell all the good things happening at CtK and the positive outlooks for the future.
So, instead of just giving thanks that your weird Uncle Kenny was able to make it for dinner this year, or for the fact that he quit using his bare hand to scoop up the dressing, don’t forget to give thanks for the good and powerful things happening at CtK.
In fact, those thanks should come early in your celebration, really.
Right after you get Kenny a spoon.
